Mutability is an anthology featuring three short stories about changes of the fantastical sort. In the first, “The Doorbell,” Tristan’s doorbell breaks. A magical cat named Swish appears to fix it but leaves him with a bigger problem.
In the second, “Saturday Night Grave Robbing,” shows Harper, with no other way to pay her bills, resorting to an unsavory and illegal act of desperation; however, the ghost of who she’s digging up doesn’t approve.
The final, “Ours,” calls on old magic to save a little girl from a faerie intent on spiriting her away.
